STAFFING NOTICE
Position Title:
Technical Tradesman/Electrician Classification:
GS-08
Section: Management Starting salary 72,107.23 PLN gross per annum plus benefits
Employment: This is a term/indeterminate position. It will be filled initially on a one year term basis with the possibility of being converted to a permanent position.
Eligibility: This position is open to individuals currently working as indeterminate, determinate, or contractual employees of the Embassy. Applications from outside candidates will also be accepted for this staffing process.

Essential qualifications:
• Fluency in Polish (speaking, reading and writing).
• Intermediate level of English (speaking, reading and writing).
• Fluency in English will be an asset.
• Electrical licence (E and D, up to 15 kV).
• Education: Technical diploma from a recognized electrical school, or Engineering diploma in electricity from a recognized technical university, or Engineering diploma in mechanical science from a recognized technical university.
• Experience: At least five years experience in a similar position in commercial, industrial or government buildings with modern HVAC, BMS and Electrical systems.
Work Description:
Under the general supervision of the Property Manager, operates, monitors and facilitates repairs and maintains installed equipment at the Chancery, Official Residence and staff quarters. Conducts routine assessments and closely supervises scheduled technical maintenance of building systems; assists in arranging for the preventative maintenance and repairs for all building systems; liaises with local and headquarter technical experts to ensure compliance with both Polish and Canadian standards for the installation and operation of all electrical and mechanical equipment; provides assistance and cooperation to two other tradesmen positions. Performs other duties as required.
Condition(s) of Employment:
The appointment of the successful candidate will be subject to a medical clearance and Reliability check obtained by the Management section.
